Wizards of the Coast has released it’s Dreamblade miniatures game. I have it and have playtested it, but I will hold judgement till I have played it a little more. The figures are well done, and are generally larger than the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons miniatures.

Wizards as always are standing tall behind their newest product with alot of cash and prizes for the taking at their Premier Tournament Events.

So far there have been three events….

The Gencon $1k constructed Warbands.

The Dragon Con $10K Tournament

The next event is being held on Oct 14th-16 in Chicago and is a $10K event.

Okay, well the first bit of significant news to talk about is the report that Sony’s PS3 will ship about 75% less units in the USA and Japan, and while it is still slated to launch on November 17th in the US and on November 11th in Japan, it will not launch till 2007 in Europe. Is the responsible culprit………..Bluray? Yes according to Ken Kutaragi,Sony Computer Entertainment President, who says that due to this problem with Bluray production, PS3 will launch with a reduction of almost a million units.

If you have been following the console wars over the past several years, you know that this is really not anything new. If anything, it just adds to the drama of who does the best job of bringing their console to market, with the best product lineup and getting there without alot of hiccups.

From a personal standpoint, I will not be purchasing a PS3 anytime soon. While I love playing videogames, I am not in any hurry to pluck down around $600.00 for a game console, no matter what it is able to do. Nor do I relish the thought of standing on lines with a lottery ticket that does not necessarily guarantee me an actual console purchase. I’ll leave that to all you other die hards. have fun.
